We collect information you provide directly: account details (email, name), fishing preferences (location, target species, skill level), catch data (photos, species, weight, location), and alert configurations.

We automatically collect: device information, IP address, browser type, and usage analytics via PostHog.

We collect location data only when you explicitly provide it (search, GPS button, catch logging). For the Live Angler Map, location is fuzzed to a 1-mile radius and never stored permanently. Presence data expires after 4 hours. You can use Ghost Mode to fish without appearing on the map.

To provide fishing conditions and scores for your location. To power the AI Advisor with personalized recommendations. To display your catches in the community feed (with your permission). To send alerts when conditions match your thresholds. To improve the Catch-Conditions Correlation Engine.

We do not sell your personal data. Catch data you choose to share is visible in the community feed. We use third-party services: Anthropic (AI advisor), Open-Meteo (weather), Mapbox (maps), PostHog (analytics), Resend (email). Each processes data per their own privacy policies.

You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and all associated data, export your data, opt out of analytics tracking. Contact us at privacy@nicoandlucarf.com.

Account data: retained while account is active. Catch data: retained until you delete it. Presence data: automatically deleted after 4 hours. Analytics: aggregated and anonymized after 90 days.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are used with your consent. You can disable non-essential cookies at any time.

Users under 13 may not create accounts. Users under 18 cannot enable Live Angler Map presence features. Parents/guardians can contact us to manage a minor's data.
